Call to Action

Volunteers Needed for VCC Operations

Thanks to those who have volunteered over recent months. The list of "job descriptions" that follow provide opportunities for our members to step forward and offer their support in the season ahead.

Refreshments

A Helper is needed who would be able to arrive around half an hour before meetings to help prepare coffee and tea and to get out the supplies for the break.  At the break it's just a matter of replenishing the cookies or juice as needed. The desire is to have someone familiar enough with the routine to step in when Gail is unable to attend a meeting.

Additional helpers are also needed to assist with the cleanup after meetings.

Contact: Gail Underhill.

Close Up

A Volunteer is needed on a monthly basis to assist with the delivery of our club newsletter, Close-Up.

Contact: Gail Underhill.

Membership

Greeters at the door to welcome visitors and new members and provide introductions and information about the Club. These would be assigned on a schedule, not requiring attendance at every meeting.

Contact: Nancy MacNab.

Publicity

A Coordinator of club publicity to deal with other clubs, events, vendors, members, etc. Examples would include Camera Traders Swap/Shop (May), Through the Photographer's Eye (TTPE) publicity (Spring), arranging (vendor initiated or other) deals such as bulk orders for magazines etc.

Contact: Herman Surkis.

CAPA (Canadian Association of Photographic Arts)  Rep

A Representative of our Club to provide liaison with CAPA (except for Competitions). The VCC belongs to CAPA as a Club Member. The rep would send/receive information, promote CAPA membership in the club, organise submission of material to Canadian Camera and Pac Zone News, etc. as required.

Contact: Richard James.
