We invite you to join us in our active Field Trip program!
Schedule: Two to four trips per month on weekends and during the week both in-town and beyond. See the Club's Calendar for trips scheduled over coming months.
Trips: Most trips will be 2-3 hrs duration, will generally not require extensive walking (except some nature/landscape trips may require a bit of a hike), and will conclude with a lunch (or dinner) to review how they went (and anything else). If you need transportation, please let the leader know as soon as possible, we will endeavour to arrange car-pooling or a specific ride. Any admission fees and the cost of meals etc. are the member’s responsibility.
Trip Leader: Each trip will have a leader. Please contact
the leader
for info on the trip, to confirm you will be going (and cancel if
required), to arrange car-pooling or possible assistance with equipment.
Techniques and Equipment: Some trips will be preceded by either a brief explanation of techniques at the meeting place, or, at a regular Club meeting. The schedule includes suggestions on the theme as well as equipment. If you lack some equipment, we will endeavour to team you up with a member who has compatible equipment and who has indicated a willingness to share/help. Please let the trip leader know if you need help.
Results: Great photographs! We encourage you to share a selection of your work with your fellow members. Send some of your results to Mike Wooding for inclusion in pre-meeting slide shows (1400x1050 max pixel dimensions please).
Field Trip Galleries: Open the Galleries section of the menu on the left, select Club Galleries at the top of the list, click and you will be there. Post your favourite field-trip images following these guidelines. Obtain your password and any assistance your may need from the webmaster (webmaster@victoriacameraclub.org).
Trip Suggestions: Please make suggestions to Jack Copland, our Field Trips Coordinator. Offers to lead trips or provide a “briefing” would be gratefully accepted.
Visitor Policy: See our Membership page.
Disclaimer: Members and others participating in field trips do so at their own risk. Neither the Club, field trip coordinator nor trip leader assume any responsibility for members safety. By participating you accept full responsibility for your safety.
