The Victoria Camera Club holds an Annual Year-End Competition and an Annual Awards Banquet in May. At that time we celebrate our achievements in photography over the year with awards for the images presented in the Year-End Competitions and the Aggregate Scores earned during the year.

The Frank Turner Award is presented to a member who has provided exemplary service to the Club. The annual recipient is selected by the three members who have most recently been honoured in the same way. New, starting in 2011, the President's Challenge and its Team Challenge Award, have been introduced to create opportunities for groups of members to work together to foster collaboration in photography in response to the current challenge put before the club. The Club enters and has been successful in external competitions including those sponsored by the Canadian Association of Photographic Arts (CAPA), Nature's Best Magazine, the Eastwood Photographic Society (Scotland) vs VCC Annual Challenge and others. In addition, members may compete on an individual bases in some of those and other competitions. We celebrate those awards througout the year and at the banquet.
