In addition to our regular program of scheduled meetings at Norway House, Club members also participate in numerous Field Trips to locations rich in photographic opportunities. A series of Workshops is on offer through which members participate in learning activities in photography and image processing. Our programs now also includes the activities of a sumber of Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Details are provided under Our Programs on the drop-down menu to the left. See the Calendar section for the full schedule of all Victoria Camera Club events.
Periodically the VCC produces a public Print Show, based on the contributions of our members. These shows provide broader exposure in the community to the fine images being produced by our members and to the role of the club itself.
It goes without saying that the principal activity of many, if not most, of our VCC members is the making and sharing of images. You can see a good cross-section of our current images by opening our Image Galleries menu and clicking on the Club Galleries link.
Our Club Galleries include the following:
Pictures of the Week: New galleries are created on a weekly basis. Members post their favourites from ANY week. See the Guidelines and contact the webmaster for the password. Assistance is available from the webmaster.
Field Trip Galleries: Members are invited to post images from VCC Field Trips in which they have participated. Guidelines as above.
Members' Galleries: Individual galleries display up to a twelve-image sample of a member's work. Assistance is available from the webmaster.
Themed Galleries: After two weeks in the Pictures of the Week galleries, images are moved to the top of the appropriate Themed Gallery, replacing images at the bottom of the set.
A further venue to club members to showcase their images is via our Special Interest Groups' Photo Forums. Those are accessible from the main menu bar along with their associated blogs.
